Top-ranked Lancers stumble

Class A No. 1 Edinburgh fell from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 79-50 loss at North Decatur on Friday night. Caleb Dewey scored 14 points for the Lancers (4-1, 1-1 Mid-Hoosier), followed by Jarrett Turner with 11, Austin Brockman with nine, Keegan Smith seven and Connor Ramey six.

Warriors edged by Falcons

Whiteland’s fourth-quarter rally came up a little short in a 48-44 setback at Perry Meridian. D.J. Helm paced the Warriors (1-3, 0-2 Mid-State) with 20 points, while Austin Willoughby had 11 and Wiatt McLaughlin contributed nine.

Braves hammer Clovers

Lauren Foster and Faith Wiseman each finished with 20 points as Class 3A No. 3 Indian Creek cruised to a 62-15 road win over Cloverdale. Savannah Hall added 10 points for the Braves (10-0, 4-0 WIC), while Wiseman also totaled 10 rebounds and five blocked shots.
