Fraud

2801 N. Morton St., police department: A woman reported at 10:48 a.m. Wednesday that she answered a email about a product she did not order for $399.99 and when she called the number she was told to go to Walmart, buy Visa gift cards and she then gave the card numbers to the person totaling over $2,500 before she realized it was a scam.

1251 U.S. 31 N., Macy’s: Reported at 11:39 a.m. Wednesday that a fraud had occurred.

Hit and Run

E. County Line Road and N. Emerson Ave.: Reported at 2:17 p.m. Wednesday that a vehicle struck the front side portion of another vehicle then proceeded to flee the scene.

Personal-injury accident

5:32 p.m. Wednesday – U.S. 31 and E. Stop 18. Rebecca Close, 33, Franklin. Close reported having pain and injury to her entire body.

Property-damage accidents

2:39 p.m. Wednesday – County Line Road and N. Emerson Ave.

12:01 a.m. Wednesday – W. Smith Valley Road and Browning Drive

Thefts

1100 block of Windhorst Way: Reported at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday that a theft/fraud had occurred.

1133 N. Emerson Ave., Walmart: Reported at 1:59 p.m. Wednesday that a man was arrested for theft and other charges.

180 block of N. Meridian St.: Reported at 10:43 a.m. Wednesday that a theft had occurred.

2114 Sheek Road, Circle K: Reported at 10:16 a.m. Wednesday that a theft had occurred.

100 block of Gulfstream Way: Reported at 9:14 a.m. Wednesday a theft from a vehicle had occurred overnight.

Theft

600 block of Ramblin Road, Greenwood: A woman reported at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday that someone had opened her unlocked vehicle, taken her diaper bag that also had her license and credit cards inside it.

Cory Luke Decker, 24, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of domestic battery; held on $1,200 bond.

Keith G. Frigon, 35, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of contempt; bond information unavailable.

Amanda N. Gentry, 42, Shelbyville; arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court; held without bond.

Adam W. Hines, 36, Indianapolis; arrested on charges of possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, violation of community corrections and possession of cocaine or narcotic drug; held without bond.

Melvin Lewis Johnson Jr., 25, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of probation violation; bond information unavailable.

Billion Balique Francis Kersey, 20, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of domestic battery on a person less than 14 years old; released on $1,200 bond.

Conner M. Kilpatrick, 21, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of probation violation; held on $500 bond.

Michael Blaine Mullis, 44, Whiteland; arrested on charges of intimidation and invasion of privacy; held on $4,400 bond.

Miguel R. Rodriguez, 35, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license; released on $250 bond.

Kimberlyn C. Scott, 28, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of violation of drug court conditions; held without bond.

David E. Shaw Sr., 31, Indianapolis; arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court; held on $2,000 bond.

The following people were recently arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and booked into the Johnson County jail:

Blayton D. Cox, 19, Corning, Ohio; also arrested on charges of leaving the scene of a property damage crash and a minor in possession of an alcoholic beverage; held on $3,000 bond.

Kelsey C. Mayfield, 30, Greenwood; released on $1,000 bond.
