Royals top Wildcats
Roncalli defeated Lawrence North on Wednesday, 52-27. The Royals (11-1) got victories by pin from Peyton Schottle (106 pounds), Blake Getz (113), Alex Plahitko (126), Patrick McGinley (138), Braden Getz (152), Bryce Lowery (160), Luke Hansen (195) and Zane Baker (285) as well as a major decision from Jame Dozier at 182.

Hall of Fame class announced
Diane (Hoereth) Metz, a 1986 Roncalli graduate, was among those named this week to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s 2023 induction class. She will be enshrined during the women’s banquet next April 29. Metz scored 1,166 career points and remains Roncalli’s all-time rebounding leader with 870.
Other inductees with Johnson County ties include 1997 Indiana All-Stars Lisa (Shepherd) Stidham and Katie Douglas.
