County Road 510 East to close for 2 weeks

The Johnson County Highway Department is planning to begin work on County Road 510 East on or after Wednesday.

The road is expected to be closed between Greensburg Road and County Road 150 South for approximately two weeks. Weather may impact the project start date and duration of the closing, local highway officials said in the closure announcement.

The project includes culvert replacement and pavement repairs on County Road 510 East near the Greensburg Road intersection.

There are two designated detour routes, one for commercial trucks and through traffic and the other for local traffic. Trucks and through traffic should use Interstate 65 and U.S. 31 to get around the closure. Trucks should use the commercial truck route on north side of Franklin to get to I-65: Commerce Parkway, Commerce Drive, Arvin Drive, Eastview Drive and King Street.

Local traffic can use Greensburg Road, CR 600 East, and CR 250 South to bypass the closure.
