Roger W. Weaver, 81 of Indianapolis, IN passed away Wednesday January 4, 2023, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN. He was born April 10, 1941, in Indianapolis, IN.
He married Judith W. (Spangle) Weaver on December 12, 1964, in Indianapolis, IN, she survives.
Roger had worked for the Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis, IN for 37 years retiring in 2005 as a quality controller.
He was a member of the Greenwood Moose Lodge 2079, Shelbyville American Legion Post 70, also a member of and frequent visitor of American Legion Atkins Post 355 in Indianapolis, the Masonic Lodge, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine.
He competed in the U.S. National Drag Racing in Indiana and in 2012 was the U.S> Super Gas Winner.
Survivors include his wife Judith W. (Spangle) Weaver of Indianapolis, IN, children Jeffrey Staab (Sharron) of Palm Coast, Florida, Paul Karch of Bloomington, IN, and Jennifer Keating (Tim Brock) of Indianapolis, IN, eight grandchildren Chantel Karch Adcock, Branden Surigao (Jana), Jeremy Staab, Jason Staab (Emily), Mikayla Keating (Seth Burleson), Eric Keating and Bradley Keating, great grandchildren Jaxson Staab, Raelynn Staab, Daegan Fox Surigao, Elias Burleson and Olive Burleson.
A time of gathering and sharing will take place on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 4PM until 7PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN 46131 and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
