Edinburgh police executed a narcotics search warrant on a residence in the 900 block of South Holland Street after a four-month investigation.
Police used their two newly formed narcotics K9 teams throughout the investigation to locate narcotics on traffic stops leaving the South Holland Street residence in Edinburgh.
K9 Kiara recovered 11 grams of methamphetamine on one of the traffic stops and K9 Skye who was used on the search warrant helped officers locate about 234 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 6 pounds of marijuana inside the residence.
Edinburgh Police Chief Doyne Little arrested Thomas Burton, 62, and Donald Knight, 55, both with addresses listed as 907 S. Holland St., Edinburgh, who were transported to the Bartholomew County Jail without incident.
Burton has preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance, according to jail records. He was being held in lieu of $215,000 bond.
Knight is facing preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance, jail officials said. He was being held in lieu of $65,000 bond.
