ORGAN CONCERT, noon-1:15 p.m. Feb. 5., First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Madison St.

Continuing their series of world-class organ concerts, First Presbyterian Church welcomes Salvatore Pronesti, an international performing organist, for a special concert. Pronesti comes from Rome, Italy, where he is organist at the Pantheon. He tours Europe, and participates in important national and international festivals.

His performance will include pieces by Bach, Italian composers and improvisations, all done on the church’s historic Steere organ built in the early 1900s. The concert is free to the public and is partially supported by a generous grant from the Branigin Foundation.
