Letter to the Editor: Otterbein residents check your mailing address

To the Editor:

I am writing this letter out of concern for the residents at Otterbein Franklin facility and their cottage residents.

I have for nine years been trying to get Otterbein to take care of a problem with your mail, packages, letters, cards, et cetera. My address is one number different than Otterbein and so I’m constantly getting your mail. They tell me to return your mail to sender.

I was heartbroken through Christmas having to send cards from your friends and loved ones back to them, knowing how much they would mean to you to be able to receive them.

I’ve had furniture stores try to deliver things, supply trucks for the facility, visitors from out of town come here and if I’m home I refer them on to Otterbein, just wondering how many times they missed a visit because of it!

If you or someone you know are being affected by this problem please talk to someone at Otterbein and see if you can get them to do something about the problem, and make sure you put 1070 W. Jefferson St. on all your outgoing mail and tell your neighbors to do the same.
