Boys basketball

Cougars steamroll Braves

Greenwood Christian powered its way to a 63-28 rout of host Indian Creek on Saturday. The Cougars (11-6) got 18 points from Max Booher, 17 from Blake Shewmaker and nine from Parker Satre.

Trojans defeat Hilltoppers

Marcus Ankney scored 22 points to lift Class 4A No. 3 Center Grove to a 58-48 victory at Floyd Central. Ethan McComb added 14 points for the Trojans (17-1), while Jalen Bundy finished with 11.

Lancers earn road victory

Edinburgh won at Franklin County, 69-59, behind a 26-point outburst from Caleb Dewey. The Lancers (12-5) also got 11 points from Jackson Hartwell and 10 each from Jarrett Turner and Connor Ramey.

Men’s basketball falls at Anderson

Despite a game-high 22 points from Lynn King, Franklin College came up on the short end of a 77-58 score at Anderson on Saturday. Whiteland grad Carter Crowe added 13 points for the Grizzlies (12-9, 8-6 HCAC).

Women’s basketball drops OT affair

Franklin College started hot, taking an early 14-point lead, before host Anderson rallied for an 80-75 overtime win. Jordan Coon had 23 points and CiCi Bailey added 20 for the Grizzlies (8-13, 5-8 HCAC), who also got 13 points from Maddie Barnes.
