INDIANAPOLIS
J.B. Sneed, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 3, 2023, at IU Methodist Hospital. Mr. Sneed was born on November 4, 1940, in Columbia, KY to Richard Dermon and Christine (Coomer) Sneed. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a retiree from Ford Motor Company with over 30 years of service. From 1992 to 2012, he owned and operated the Persimmon Tree Bed &Breakfast in Greenwood. Mr. Sneed was a member of the Southport Lodge No. 270 F &A.M. and the Murat Shrine.
Mr. Sneed is survived by his son, Brent (Jenny) Sneed; the loves of his life: his grandchildren: Jason (Carlie), Jared and Jocelyn Sneed; brothers: David (Charlotte) Sneed and Ike Sneed; sister, Edith (Billy) Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara Alice (Russell) Sneed, and son, Jason Brad Sneed.
There will be a memorial gathering in J.B.’s memory at his home on February 25, 2023, from 1:00-4:00 pm. J.B. and Barbara will be buried at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens in Campbellsville, KY. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Johnson County Humane Society.
