A local judge dismissed charges filed against a Harrison County man accused of creating a fake profile to get explicit messages from a Bargersville pre-teen.

Johnson County Circuit Court Judge Andrew Roesener granted prosecutors’ request to dismiss six charges filed against Jacob Tyler Kintner-Sample, 22, of Elizabeth, on Jan. 26. Kinter-Sample had been facing felony charges of possession of child pornography and dissemination of matter harmful to minors following an investigation by Bargersville Police.

The Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office dismissed the charges because there was a failure of probable cause, said Lance Hamner, Johnson County Prosecutor.

The case had been filed last summer, before Hamner took office, according to online court records.
