UPDATE: Morgantown man died in fatal, single-car accident in Franklin

10:10 A.M. UPDATE

The Johnson County Coroner’s office identified the deceased driver from the Hospital Road accident as Kane A. Grudowski, 22 of Morgantown.

A witness told Johnson County deputies they saw the truck Grudowski was driving leave the roadway on the north side of the road, get back on the road, and then leave the road again on the south side. The second time, the vehicle rolled over, collided with a tree and eventually came to rest next to a bridge, according to the accident report from Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

The impact of the crash killed Grudowski. The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force traumatic injuries, due to the motor vehicle accident, Mike Pruitt, coroner said in a press release.

Toxicology is still pending, he said.
