Wiseman, Foster chosen as Junior All-Stars

The postseason honors continue to roll in for Indian Creek teammates Faith Wiseman and Lauren Foster, who were both included among the 18 players selected as Indiana Junior All-Stars on Wednesday.

Wiseman, a 6-foot-4 post who is verbally committed to play at Indiana University, was one of six players named to the core group, which will play in both the June 4 exhibition in Jeffersonville against Kentucky’s top juniors and on June 7 against Indiana’s senior All-Stars. She’s joined in that group by Alli Harness of Carroll (Flora), Jordyn Poole of Fort Wayne Snider, Chloe Spreen of Bedford North Lawrence, Reagan Wilson of Noblesville and Juliann Woodard of Jennings County.

Foster will be part of the six-player Red Group, which will team with the core six in the game against the Kentucky team. Also in that sextet are Talia Harris of Fishers, Mooresville’s Rachel Harshman, Westfield’s Ellie Kelleher, Evansville Memorial’s Avery Kelley and Mt. Vernon’s Ellery Minch.

The Blue Group consists of Lake Central’s Aniyah Bishop, Fort Wayne Snider’s Joh’nea Donahue, Norwell’s Kennedy Fuelling, Goshens’ Kyra Hill, Hamilton Heights’ Camryn Runner and Adrianne Tolen of West Lafayette.

Last month, Foster and Wiseman were both selected to participate in the inaugural Indiana All-Star Futures Game, which will be played June 10 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse before the annual contests between the boys and girls senior All-Stars from Indiana and Kentucky.

Wiseman and Foster scored a combined 34.7 points a game for the Braves during a 27-2 season that included county, conference, sectional and regional championships and a trip to the Class 3A semistate championship game.
