Despite missing eight league games due to injury, Indiana Wesleyan senior guard Spencer Piercefield has been honored by the Crossroads League as a member of its all-conference second team. He scored 14 points and dished out six assists in IWU’s 78-70 win against MidAmerica Nazarene in the first round of the NAIA National Championship tournament, and 11 points, six assists and five rebounds in a 75-74 loss to Georgetown (Kentucky).
Freshman second baseman Tyler Cerny singled and scored a run for the IU baseball team in its 17-4 loss at East Carolina. He doubled and had two more singles as the Hoosiers defeated Georgetown, 4-3, and tripled and scored three of his team’s runs in a 15-1 win against Purdue Fort Wayne.
St. Leo first baseman Mike Wyman singled, doubled and drove in two runs in a 16-5 win against visiting Florida Tech. He singled twice and scored a run in an 8-2 win over Wilmington (Delaware).
Alabama junior second baseman Bryce Eblin singled and stole a base in an 11-1 win over Illinois-Chicago. He singled and scored a run in the second game of the series, a 10-0 victory.
Morehead State pitcher Grant Herron got the start in a 5-2 victory at Samford, allowing a hit, one run and striking out two in his two frames on the hill.
Southern Indiana junior first baseman Lexi Fair totaled five hits and five RBIs as the team played eight games at the The Spring Games tournament. Fair belted a home run in a 4-0 win over Creighton and another in a 5-3 win over Long Island.
Northwestern softball took part in the Cardinal Classic in Louisville, with senior catcher Jordyn Rudd contributing four hits — including a double and home run — and six RBIs over the course of the team’s four games.
Senior Sam Jean helped the Cincinnati men’s golf team at the Colleton River Collegiate tournament, tying for 23rd individually with scores of 73, 69 and 69. Indiana senior Noah Gillard tied for 34th by shooting 74, 70 and 69.

Southern Indiana sophomore men’s tennis player Quinten Gillespie lost matches at No. 5 singles (6-1, 6-3) and No. 3 doubles (6-4) as the team lost at Northern Kentucky, 7-0. Gillespie helped his doubles tandem score a 6-1 win against Xavier.

Ashlyn Traylor led the way with 19 points and six boards as Radford won its first game of the Big South women’s basketball tourney, 69-68, in overtime over Presbyterian. The team then lost in OT to top seed Gardner-Webb, 89-81, with Traylor accounting for 18 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Ball State women’s basketball completed its regular season with a 77-68 win at Miami of Ohio as sophomore guard Maddie Bischoff (Greenwood) knocked down three 3-pointers on her way to 17 points. The Cardinals opened the Mid-America Conference tourney with a 92-68 win over Akron, with Bischoff supplying 11 points, five rebounds and four assists.
