E. Michael Naber

INDIANAPOLIS

E. Michael Naber of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Franciscan Hospital in Indianapolis from Epithelioid Angiosarcoma. He was 74 years old.

Michael was born in Cincinnati, OH on February 17, 1949, to the late Edward B. Naber and Julia M. Naber. He was a 1967 graduate of Elder High School in Cincinnati and attended Thomas Moore College in Edgewood, KY. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma Upsilon fraternity.

He is survived by his wife Nancy (Gasser) Naber whom he married on July 26, 2003.

Michael worked many years in apparel production for Palm Beach Clothing Company in Cincinnati. He also worked at Donnellon McCarthy Enterprises focusing on providing total business solutions for their clients prior to his retirement in 2002. One of Michael’s favorite hobbies included his love for working in the yard. He completed the Master Gardner Program from Purdue University and spent time sharing his knowledge with his neighbors. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to various areas in the US, but two of his favorite travel spots were to Greece and visit his ancestor’s homeland of Ireland. He and his wife Nancy loved spending time with their family and friends. Michael will forever be remembered for his great sense of humor, his silliness, and to make everyone feel comfortable with his warm laugh and welcoming smile. He truly loved life and loved making others happy and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

Survivors also include his sister, Diane Schroeder (David) of Burlington, KY; mother-in-law, Sandra Stockman of Greenwood; sisters-in-law, Diane Allen of Indianapolis, Lori Hahn (Paul) of OK, Cheryl Moreira (Phil) of PA, Jean Romfo (Bret) of GA. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Krista, David (Sarah), and Mark Schroeder, Matthew Allen, Burke and Teresa Hahn, Michelle and Jason Moreira, and Jake and Lauren Romfo; his great niece, Ellie Schroeder, and beloved dogs Alvin, Yogi, and Archie. Michael was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Stockman.

The family will receive guests at the Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory in Greenwood, IN on Saturday, March 25 from 12:00 – 3:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 3:00 pm.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1175 Overlook Avenue, Cincinnati, OH on Monday, March 27 at 11:30 am. Family will be there to welcome attendees beginning at 11:00 am.
