CARMEL
Patricia A. Henry, 91, passed away on March 18, 2023 in Carmel, Indiana. She was born on January 17, 1932, to the late Howard and Katrina Day. Pat lived most of her life on the south side of Indianapolis. She attended Arsenal Technical High School and worked with her late husband, Orville R. Henry in the family insurance agency O’Henry Insurance.
Her siblings include sister Rochelle Woodard and brother Jerry Day (Terri.); her late brothers Richard (Jacqueline), Thomas (Nancy), Dennis and James, all predeceased her.
Pat had eleven children: Nina Morse (Simon), Steven (Wendy), Pamela Elaine Engle (Steve), Jimmy Lee, deceased, Gary, Pamela Sue Santellana (Jamie), David (Linda), Denise Carver (John), Vickie Johnston, Randy (Paula) and Aunita Feeney (Dr. Tim Feeney.)
She leaves behind a large family. There are 31 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Pat was a member of Northview Church of Carmel and the Pocahontas Council of Batesville, IN and was a very spiritual person. Most recently, she was a resident of Sunrise Senior Independent living in Carmel, IN, where she met her dear friend Hugh Fisher.
Friends and family described her as a spunky individual who did all she could to help others. She always exhibited extraordinary strength against very daunting odds during her life. She was the family matriarch and will be greatly missed.
Services for Pat are Saturday, March 25 at 2:00 PM at Singleton and St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, 7602 Madison Ave., Indpls. 46227 with visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery-Greenwood, Indiana.
