Get the weekend started in style at Big Woods Franklin, as the eatery once again offers live music during its Friday concert series. This week, groove the guitar-driven jams of Keith Scott Blues, a Chicago-based outfit that has built a powerful fan base in the Windy City, as well as around the Great Lakes region and beyond.
KINDNESS ROCKS PAINTING, 2-3 p.m. April 1, Clark-Pleasant library, 350 Clearwater Blvd., Whiteland
Big things are coming to the Clark-Pleasant branch of the Johnson County Public Library, among them an Exploration Walk where they can discover STEAM activities, see an observational greenhouse or play musical instruments. One interesting feature will be a Rock Garden of Kindness — a designated space where people can lift their spirits with encouraging messages on rocks.
To stock that garden, people are invited to paint designs, pictures or words of kindness to encourage our community when they visit.
