Remote Area Medical clinic canceled

The free Remote Area Medical clinic that was planned for June 3 and 4 in Nashville has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, according to a release sent by the nonprofit.

Remote Area Medical is a major nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free dental, vision and medical care to those in need. The two-day clinic, which was planned in collaboration with the local community, was set to take place at the Brown County Middle School.

According to clinic manager Vicki Gregg, the organization spoke with Hoosier Health Advocates, a student group at Indiana University and the clinic’s community host group. Due to circumstances beyond their control, both sides made the difficult decision to cancel the event.
