June Marie (Billet) Ulery, 74, of Franklin, IN, formerly of Greenwood, IN, Elkhart, IN and Nappanee, IN passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN.

She was born August 31, 1948, in Elkhart, IN to Delbert and Frances (Deardorff) Billet. She married John G. Ulery on April 5, 1975, in Elkhart, IN, he survives.

June was a 1966 graduate of Elkhart High School, received her bachelor’s degree from Manchester College and her master’s degree for Indiana University South Bend.

She had been a program director for Indiana Mentor for thirteen years. She previously had worked for Bethesda Lutheran Community in Greenfield, Putnam County Services and ADEC Industries in Elkhart, IN. She had also been an elementary teacher at Waterford Elementary in Goshen, IN.

June was a member of Franklin Community Church, former members of Christ Our Shepherd of the Brethren and Nappanee Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and camping at Raintree Lake in Scottsburg, IN.

Survivors include her husband John G. Ulery of Franklin, IN, son Jason G. Ulery (fiancé Mervet Odeh) of Newburgh, IN and daughters Janette E. Metzler of Franklin, IN and Josie M. Ulery of Franklin, IN, grandchildren Gweneal F. Metzler and Gavin F. Metzler both of Franklin, IN and a brother Dale Billert of Elkhart, IN,

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister in law Deb Billert.

Pastor Daniel Jepsen will conduct a service on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the Franklin Community Church 2005 Upper Shelbyville Road in Franklin, IN. Friends may call Friday, April 21, 2023, from 1PM until service time at the church.
