Cruse named to IHSAA committee
Greenwood junior Makena Cruse was one of nine juniors from around the state selected to serve on the IHSAA’s Student Advisory Committee for the 2023-24 school year. Cruse will be a part of the 18-member committee, which “will receive hands-on leadership experience through several IHSAA-sponsored events as well as serve as a voice to the IHSAA staff,” according to a press release.
Cruse, who competes in soccer, track and cross country for the Woodmen, was chosen via a process that begins with nominations from school principals and ends with a series of interviews that whittles the 20 finalists in each class down to nine. She will serve on the committee for the next two school year.
