Warriors defeat Lancers

Freshmen Brady Dittmer (37) and Will Smith (38) led the way as Whiteland earned a 163-178 victory over Edinburgh on Thursday at Timbergate. Max Blandford was the medalist with a 36 for the Lancers, a round that included an eagle on the fourth hole.

Girls tennis

Braves top Cardinals

Indian Creek picked up a 4-1 win over Southport on Thursday. Reese Tunell and Kylie Lemmon were victorious at second and third singles for the Braves (11-3), while Olivia Perry and Addy Tunell picked up a point at No. 1 doubles and the duo of Lanie Swanson and Alexa Sichting remained unbeaten at No. 2.

Edinburgh nips Trinity

A singles sweep allowed Edinburgh to pick up a 3-2 triumph over Trinity Lutheran. Zoey Sida and Izzy Richardson both notched close two-set victories at second and third singles, respectively.

Woodmen rally for road victory

Greenwood came back from an early deficit for a 4-3 victory at Columbus North on Thursday. Landen Smith had three hits for the Woodmen (9-9), while Logan Connor came on to pick up the relief win on the mound.

Braves get walk-off win

Talan Steinway’s RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning lifted Indian Creek to a 4-3 win over Greencastle on Wednesday night.

MacKenzie Bieker hit a solo home run, but Edinburgh wound up on the short end of a 7-2 score against visiting West Washington on Thursday.

Warriors fall at Hawks

Josslyn Harbert had a pair of hits but Whiteland came up just short in a 7-6 loss at Decatur Central on Wednesday night.
