PICKLEBALL AND PINTS, 5-8 p.m. May 18, Craig Park, 10 E. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood

Few things are more popular these days than pickleball, and Greenwood Parks and Recreation have found a great way to mix the popularity of the sport with one of the area’s most esteemed craft breweries. Participants will gather at Craig Park for friendly games of pickleball, and included in the $10 entry fee is one beverage provided by Oaken Barrel Brewing Co. Additional beverages can be purchased for $6.

TRAFALGAR COUNTRY GARDENERS PLANT SALE, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. May 20, Trafalgar United Methodist Church, 375 Pleasant Dr.

Gear up for a summer filled with bountiful vegetable plants, fresh herbs and blooming flowers during this annual sale by the Tragalgar Country Gardeners Club. People will be able to shop for tomato, pepper and other vegetable plants, as well as perennials such as hostas and daylilies. All plants are grown by garden club members. The sale is the club’s only fundraiser, and proceeds help pay for public gardening programs.
