Grizzly Cubs fall in regional

Franklin played No. 7 Brebeuf Jesuit close in all three sets but wound up on the losing end of a 25-20, 25-20, 25-23 defeat in IBVCA regional action at Fishers on Saturday. The Grizzly Cubs finish the season with a 14-12 record.

Trojans take first, second

Center Grove’s split squad finished first among 21 teams at the Rock Hollow Invitational and second out of 18 in the Franklin Central Invitational at Smock. The latter group shot a 313 to end up one stroke behind Columbus North; Brady Schier shot a 76, Noah Parsetich 78, James Beetz 79 and Brody Holubar and Nathan Springer 80 apiece. At Rock Hollow, Nate Horner led the Trojans with a 75, followed by Evan Dunkle (80), Carson Poe (81) and Coen Bauschek (82).
