Royals earn regional three-peat
Keagan Rothrock struck out 15 batters as Class 4A No. 1 Roncalli won its third consecutive Class 4A regional championship with a 9-1 home win over Avon on Tuesday evening. Lyla Blackwell scored three runs while Abbey Hofmann and Lauren Marsicek each drove in three runs for the Royals (29-3-1), who will face either Evansville North or Floyd Central in a semistate semifinal at Center Grove on Saturday morning.
