William “Bill” Hahn

CABARRUS COUNTY NORTH CAROLINA

William “Bill” Douglas Hahn, age 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by love and family at Hospice in Cabarrus County, N.C. and went to be with the Lord on December 13, 2022 after several years of bravely battling cancer. He was born in Middletown, Ohio to the late William Hahn and Geri Burbrink. He was raised in Franklin, Indiana by his mother and stepfather, Harry Burbrink.

He was the ever attentive husband of 43 years to the love of his life, Connie Best Hahn who survives. He was the loving father of one son, Andrew Hahn (deceased) and one daughter Natalie (Sam) Cowles. He was the proud grandfather of Ashley (Wesley) Madeira and Issac Cowles. He is also survived by four siblings: Patty (Mark) Rees, Becky (Thom) Harmon, Bob (Angel) Hahn and John (Dee) Burbrink, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bill excelled in musical abilities from an early age, learning to play drums, bass guitar and piano along with other instruments. He was a member of several bands throughout the years. He had a great love and passion for music. Always creative, he focused his career on graphic arts and advertising in N.C.

He was a vital part of our lives and captured the hearts of many with his bright personality and sense of humor. Bill will be greatly missed by all.

He was buried at Salsbury National Cemetery with military honors for his service with the United States Air Force on December 27, 2022.

A celebration of life is planned on June 17, 2023 from 2:00P.M. until 5:00P.M. for close friends and family on the grounds of Bob and Angel Hahn, 316 E. 150 South, Franklin, Indiana 46131. Food and music will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at service for contributions of a memorial garden and marker.
