GREENWOOD
Marilyn M. Doty
78 of Greenwood, Indiana, formerly of Cortland, New York, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023. She was born July 9, 1944, in Cortland, New York to the late Shirld D. Lamont and Anna Mae (Brown) Doty. After graduating from high school, she worked for Montgomery Ward until 1983. She then moved to Greenwood, Indiana where she worked for Capin Crouse LLP from 1984 – 2013, until it was bought by Ensign CPA Group Inc and stayed with them until she retired in 2017 as a Tax Assistant and Bookkeeper. Marilyn was a long-life member of First Baptist Church of Greenwood where she was very active and served in many ministries there.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Ann Doty. She is survived by her brother, Stewart (Donna) Doty, nephew, Steven (Laurie) Doty, niece, Cheryl (Scott) Hamilton, a great nephew, Brian (Nicollette) Doty, and two great great nephews Waylon and Shepard Doty.
Services will be at 1:00pm Friday, June 23rd, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Greenwood, 99 W. Main St. Greenwood with a visitation from 12:00 to service time. She will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Greenwood, Indiana.
