FRANKLIN
William Lloyd Bridges, 87, of Franklin passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
He was born on April 12, 1936 in Johnson County (Nineveh), Indiana to George R. and Grace (Huff) Bridges. He married Virginia Burke (Vandivier) Bridges. She lovingly survives. Also surviving are children, Karen Dees, Mark (Libby) Bridges, Julia (Charles) Mudd and Philip Bridges and grandchildren, Robert Dees, Matthew Bridges (Jessica), Mitchell Bridges (Ashley), Molly Brown (John) and Austin Mudd and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by his seven elder siblings.
Bill was an accomplished Horse Trainer who often said he never worked a day in his life once becoming a horse trainer, because he loved what he did.
He was a member of the Franklin Elks Lodge No. 1818. He was also a member of the USTA Horse Association and the Indiana Trainer’s Association.
There will be no services. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
Because of Bill’s love for children, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.
