Pence honors fallen Trooper Smith on House floor

Congressman Greg Pence, R-Indiana, delivered remarks on the House floor Wednesday to honor and remember fallen Indiana State Trooper Aaron Smith.

Smith died in the line of duty on June 28th after police say a Missouri man intentionally veered into the lane where he was deploying stop sticks to strike him during a police pursuit on Ronald Reagan Parkway in Hendricks County.

During his remarks, he delivered a short speech about Smith’s life and service. Smith was raised in Greenwood, attended Clark-Pleasant Community Schools and lived in Franklin with his wife at the time of his death.
