GREENWOOD, IN.
Lewis Eck France, 82 of Greenwood, IN passed away Friday, July 14, 2023.
He was born October 27, 1940, in Indianapolis, IN to Philip and Thelma (Loflin) France.
Lewis was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, IN.
He retired as a quality control inspector for Rolls Royce in Indianapolis (formerly Allison Gas Turbine) for 33 years.
He enjoyed golfing and traveling to Las Vegas with his brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his sons Bernard J. “BJ” France of Greenwood, IN, Lewis Scott France (Cindy) of Brown County, IN and Wayne Anthony France of Indianapolis, IN, six grandchildren Zack France, Malloni France, AJ France, Abagail France, Dale Caleb France and Kirklan France, seven great grandchildren Viv France, Harper France, Abi France, Keagen France, Brailey France, Oakley France and Kinsleigh France, a brother Mark France (Phyllis) of Greenwood, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Dale Roy France, siblings Phillip France, Flora Bell France, Laura France Gossett, Donald France, Willis France, Joseph France and Tony France.
A time of gathering and sharing will take place on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 4PM until 7PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN.
