Frederick Wayne Weber

age 99 of Greenwood, Indiana passed away Saturday, July 29th, 2023. He was born September 25, 1923 in Batesville, Indiana to the late Fred &Bertha (Boyce) Weber. After the passing of his mother, Wayne was taken to be raised by foster parents, The Holschers, one brother and two sisters.

After graduating from Greensburg High School, Wayne joined Navy and served during World War II. He was active member of The Baptist Church in Greensburg and then a member of Southland Community Church in Greenwood, Indiana. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 129 in Greensburg, Indiana, American Legion Post 252 in Greenwood, Indiana and a life time member of Disabled American Veterans. He owned and operated Wayne Weber Plumbing, Heating &Cooling in Greensburg, Indiana for 30 years.

Wayne married Jean Ann (Peterson) Weber on November 14, 1944 and they had three children, Frederick Wayne Weber Jr., Gary Weber (wife Terri), Jill Zink (husband Wayne). Wayne then married LaVerne (Burns) Weber on April 26, 1975 and welcomed stepchildren, Ronald Burns (wife Betty), Larry Burns, and daughter-in-law Mary Burns. He is also survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Wayne Mitchell (her mother Doreen Bertha Orwin) and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Ann Weber and second wife, LaVerne Weber, son, Frederick Wayne Weber Jr, brother, Howard Weber, sisters, Elsie, Alice and Mildred and a brother Harry who passed away at the age of 2 1/2 years.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 4th 12:00pm at Southland Community Church 5800 W. Smith Valley Rd., Greenwood with a visitation from 11:00am to service time. He will be laid to rest in South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
