Pubic invited to paint JCPL Franklin branch mural Saturday

The community is invited to help paint two massive murals Saturday during the annual Color the County event.

From 9 a.m.-noon, people of all ages will gather at the Johnson County Public Library Franklin branch book barn, 401 S. State St., for the event. All ages and skills can come and help create two paint-by-number murals, one by Gabriel Yaden and the other by Chrissy Robertson.

Color the County is a program of the Johnson County Community Foundation, which has organized murals throughout the county since 2016.

Painting supplies and refreshments will be provided. Kids will receive free coloring books and paint sets, and can take part in a variety of activities during the morning.
