New shopping, coming to Greenwood mall

Coming soon this fall to the Greenwood Park Mall are the following new businesses, mall operator Simon says.

Garage – a new shopping concept where mall shoppers will have the opportunity to shop for on-trend clothing and accessories. Garage can be found between Auntie Anne’s and Starbucks.

Lovisa is a store known for earrings, necklaces, rings, wristwear and accessories was created out of a need for current fashion jewelry at an accessible price point. Lovisa’s will be located between Bath & Body Works and Spencer’s.

Popeyes, known for its New Orleans–style fried chicken and culinary heritage built upon the rich Cajun and creole flavor, will open in the mall food court.

NSK Franklin turning 30

NSK Americas in Franklin will celebrate its 30-year anniversary this month.

To celebrate the milestone, NSK will host a summer picnic on Aug. 12 from noon to 3 p.m. for employees, community leaders and corporate visitors.

The company is located at 3400 Bearing Drive, it produces and distributes a wide range of rolling element bearings, linear motion and automotive component products for a variety of applications.

JCBank supports Veterans

JCBank’s logo will be on a fleet of 19 Ford Explorers belonging to the Disabled American Veterans Department of Indiana that travel throughout the state.

The logos are part of a vehicle “wrap” recognizing an important partnership for the organization that provides free, professional assistance for veterans and their families through support services and advocacy.

Supporting organizations like the Disabled American Veterans is JCBank’s commitment to being a strong, collaborative community partner, said JCBank President and CEO Marvin Veatch.

Duke Energy’s program helps customers save

Duke Energy is encouraging customers to take advantage of its Home Energy House Call program to enhance their home’s energy efficiency and lower their bills.

Eligible customers can sign up online or call to schedule a free home energy assessment. An energy specialist will visit their home and analyze their total home energy usage. They will check for air leaks, examine insulation levels and review their appliances and heating/cooling system.

Based on the information collected, Duke Energy’s experts will give homeowners a custom-tailored report detailing steps they can take to increase efficiency and lower their energy bills. Customers will also receive a free Energy Efficiency Starter Kit.

The Home Energy House Call program is offered to Duke Energy customers who have owned a single-family home for at least four months and have an electric water heater, electric heat or central air conditioning. Mobile homes and rental properties do not qualify.

IAW hires govt affairs director

Indiana American Water announced that it has named Daniel Miller director of government affairs. Miller brings several years of government affairs and political experience to his new position.

Prior to joining Indiana American Water, he served as director of government affairs for the Office of the Lieutenant Governor in Indiana.
