Timothy James Guyer

TRAFALGAR, IN.

Timothy James Guyer, 49 of Trafalgar, IN passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

He was born September 13, 1973, at Camp Lejeune, NC to James Leonard and Kathleen (Cool) Guyer. He married Carri Rae (Windhorst) Guyer on September 21, 1996, in Orange, IN, she survives.

He was a 1992 graduate of John Adams High School in South Bend, IN and a 1995 graduate of Vincennes University.

Tim has done construction for twenty-seven years, co-owned BC Construction for 17 years and was currently the building inspector for the town of New Whiteland, Trafalgar and Morgantown. Tim joined the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department in 2022.

He and his wife Carri were fifteen-year members of Fair Haven Christian Church in Franklin.

Tim served four years as the IC Wrestling Club president before stepping down last year. He volunteered for many years as a wrestling club coach and baseball coach, ICHS assistant baseball coach, and ICMS assistant football coach. Tim positively impacted many athletes through his years of coaching.

Survivors include his wife Carri Rae (Windhorst) Guyer of Trafalgar, IN, his children Kalyn Kathleen Guyer of Trafalgar, IN, Lauren Elizabeth Walker (Caden) of Trafalgar, IN, Elijah James Guyer of Trafalgar, IN and Matalyn Grace Guyer of Trafalgar, IN, a grandson Jenson Guyer, brothers Todd Raymond Guyer (Amy) of Indianapolis, IN and Steven Guyer of Tucson, AZ, paternal grandmother Betty Guyer of Avon, IN, father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Sharon (Burgess) Windhorst of Glenwood, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and paternal grandfather Raymond Guyer.

Pastor Brian Clark will conduct a service on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 10:30 at Fair Haven Christian Church 1476 West 300 South in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNx6Dud0rJ4. Visitation will be on Monday, August 7, 2023, from 2 until 8 at the church. The burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.

Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements.
