Want to make an impact in the community? People who enjoy working with children and can spare one hour a week on Thursdays can join the Study Connection program at Franklin Community Schools. Many students are on a waiting list and need help.
Study Buddy volunteers collaborate with the student’s teacher and building site coordinator on study goals. There is fun time built in for playing games at the end of each session.
Requirements for being a study buddy are, must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check.

Interested individuals can attend a large group training at Northwood Elementary on Sept. 7 from 3-4 p.m.
The first day of Study Connection in all buildings is Sept. 14.
