Linda L.Ross, Franklin, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023. She was 80 years old. Linda was born in Indianapolis, IN to her parents John and Helen Weddle. She attended Decatur Central High School. Linda married her husband, Harold “Buster” Ross on April 23, 1994 and they shared 30 years of marriage together.

Linda worked as a waitress for Waffle House and retired after 35 years of service. Linda went on to work alongside Buster at Speedway Gas Station until she retired. Linda was a member of the methodist faith and was a weekly watcher of Stop 11 church of Christ virtual Sunday services with her daughter, Ronda. Linda loved to crochet blankets, quilts, and clothes and often gave her creations to her beloved family. Linda enjoyed watching (and occasionally feeding) the birds, squirrels, cats and other animals that made their way into her front yard. Linda was a constant caregiver to both her husband and daughter for a large part of her life, which demonstrated her selflessness and loving nature. Linda was a petite and outgoing person who never met a stranger. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.

Linda is survived by her husband, Harold “Buster” Ross; her children, Ronda Lynn (Balay) Catron, and Melinda May Hardin; her step children, Anna (Kevin) Pevely and Matthew (Christine) Ross; her grandchildren, Robert “Bobby” (Chelsea) Pedrey, Tiffany (Michelle) Tejera, Melissa (Jarrod) Lemon, and Alicia Burdine; step-grandchildren, Kelly Pevely, David “DJ” (Kayela) Ross, Austin Pevely, and Brittany Ross; her great grandchildren, Grayson, Oliver, Jordi, Cason, Colten, Isiah, and Gabriel; her step great grandchildren, Kaiden, Everly, and Aaron; her siblings, Ronald Weddle and Carolyn Meredith; her several nieces and nephews; her cat, Baby.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Teresa Ann Wetzel; her grandson, Jimmy Wetzel Jr.; her siblings, Robert Weddle, Patricia (Weddle) Louis, David Weddle, William Weddle, Sandra (Weddle) Neal, James “Buster” Weddle, Rose (Weddle) Cowley, and Veronica (Weddle)Wilson-Boone; her dogs, Midnight and Whitey.

A visitation for Linda will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 7:00 pm. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 11:00am. Family and friends who plan on attending the burial need to arrive at Forest Lawn Funeral Home by 10:45 am to line up for the procession.
