Online workshops launched for Greenwood comprehensive plan update

Greenwood residents can now begin to give their input on the city’s vision for expansions and revitalization for the next two decades.

The city of Greenwood is creating a new comprehensive plan, which will guide development and growth in the city for the next 10 to 20 years. Residents are now able to start giving feedback through an online workshop at PlanGreenwood.com, according to the city.

The workshop consists of:

  • Community Workshop Survey: An online survey for residents, business owners and visitors to provide anonymous input on how they believe the city has been successful and where it may need to improve in the future.
  • Map Social: An interactive map where residents and visitors can provide geographic-specific input and comments about the community’s future. It will remain open through the end of summer and into late fall.

Both the survey and the map can be accessed by going to PlanGreenwood.com/GetInvolved.

An in-person community workshop is also planned for Sept. 12 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Community Rooms A/B at the Greenwood Public Library, 310 S. Meridian St. The workshop will be in an open house format with brief presentations at 5 and 6 p.m., city officials say.
