Franklin’s Clark promoted to Single-A
Max Clark, drafted third overall by the Detroit Tigers in the July MLB draft, was promoted to the team’s Low-A affiliate, the Lakeland Flying Tigers, on Wednesday.
The Franklin graduate had started his pro career with the Tigers’ rookie-level Florida Complex League team (also located in Lakeland), hitting .283 with two home runs, 12 RBIs and four stolen bases in 12 games. The FCL Tigers’ season concluded on Tuesday; Lakeland’s season will continue through Sept. 10.
