EMILY’S RIDE, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 26, Mann’s Harley-Davidson, 3250 Market Place Dr., Edinburgh

At only 7-months-old, a local child named Emily was a victim of child abuse. Her injuries were life-threatening, but she did survive and was adopted by a foster family who is in the process of adopting her. Unfortunately, her abuse has left her with life-altering effects, and her foster family is dealing with the costs from her injuries as well as the cost of adoption.

To help support them, local riders can take part in this fundraiser. Kick-stands go up at 11 a.m., and the ride travels around the area, including to House of Thunder in Nashville, where 15% of sales will be donated to Emily’s Ride. The event ends at Impact Christian Church in Franklin with a meal, 50/50 raffle and other raffle items. Cost is $25 for riders and $15 for passengers, with the meal included. Meal-only tickets are $5.
