Duke Energy distributes fans

Duke Energy is working with local nonprofit agencies to distribute critical relief for residents in need. The Duke Energy Foundation is contributing more than $90,000 to organizations across the state to help purchase and distribute fans to older adults and low-income households.

Local organizations that were awarded grants:

Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County – $1,000

Johnson County Senior Services – $5,000

Marcus and Millichap, a commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced the sale of Brookfield Townhomes.

The 12-unit apartment property is located at 1567 Brookfield Circle in Franklin.

Leadership Johnson County to host volunteer fair

Have a desire to volunteer, but want to know more? This volunteer fair brings together nonprofit organizations that serve Johnson County to connect with community members looking for a place to give back. The event is free to both nonprofits and community members, held Sept 20 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Whiteland Community High School, 300 E.
