GREENWOOD
Jerry L. Stogsdill, 64, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 in Whiteland, Indiana.
Jerry was born March 21, 1959 in Whiteland to Robert Stogsdill and Doris (Ashbrook) Roy.
Jerry was a graduate of Whiteland High School. He had a strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was an active member of Greenwood Bible Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting for artifact rocks to collect. Jerry was a dog lover at heart and was the proud owner of Reggie, who passed away alongside him. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and cherished spending quality time with his family, especially with his mother-in-law, who he loved.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tammy (Hale) Stogsdill of Greenwood; his children, Lyndsey (Shane) Shelton of Greenwood, Jeremiah (Jessica) Stogsdill of Greenwood, and Isaac Stogsdill of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Ellie Shelton and Joleigh Stogsdill; his brother, Mike Stogsdill of Jasonville, IN; his sister, Donna (Joe) Gorman of Indianapolis.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Robert Stogsdill; his mother, Doris Roy; a brother, Bob Stogsdill; two sisters, Diana Stogsdill and Carol Bolt.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Greenwood Bible Baptist Church, located at 1461 Sheek Road in Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 19th at 11:00am at the church with visitation from 10:00am until the funeral hour. Jerry will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
