Warriors sweep Braves

No. 19 Whiteland sent a message to potential sectional opponent Indian Creek with a 5-0 victory on Tuesday. The Warriors (18-3) got straight-set singles victories from Spencer Gillespie, Carson Baumann and Jeremiah Hurt, while Chase and Kai Koester also won in two sets at No. 1 doubles and the twosome of Gavin Stubbe and Isaac Phegley did the same in the second spot.

Lancers come up short

Edinburgh was defeated by Trinity Lutheran, 5-0, with all five matches decided in straight sets.

Boys soccer

Center Grove blanks Plainfield

Class 3A No. 4 Center Grove posted a 4-0 shutout of Plainfield on Tuesday. Ely Detty had a goal and three assists for the Trojans, who also got single goals from Matheus Gubert, Cameron Kraiger and Cooper Worley.

Volleyball

Trojans sweep Olympians

Class 4A No. 8 Center Grove rolled to a 25-14, 25-16, 25-12 triumph over Columbus East on Tuesday. The Trojans are now 17-3 on the season.

Girls soccer

Center Grove blanks Cougars

Goals from Kylie Smith, Taylor Baier and Sophia Allen helped Center Grove to a 4-0 win over Bloomington South on Monday night.

Franklin College

Volleyball takes Asbury in three

Miranda Wilson led the way with 12 kills as Franklin College celebrated senior night by topping Asbury, 25-14, 25-19, 25-15. Chloe Holder had seven kills and a team-high seven blocks for the Grizzlies (4-7) while Campbell Clark had 14 digs and three service aces.
