CLARK-PLEASANT PICKLEBALL CHALLENGE, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to noon, Whiteland Community High School tennis courts. All proceeds go to the Jerry Lasiter Scholarship fund; Jerry is a longtime honored icon in the Clark-Pleasant community. The entrance fee is $25. All levels of players are invited, but you must be at least a freshman in high school to participate. This is a scholarship fundraiser, so bring your checkbooks or contribute to our buckets. SOUTHSIDE ART LEAGUE presents its Annual National Abstract Art Exhibition XIX, hosted by Garfield Park Arts Center, 2432 Conservatory Drive, Indianapolis. This exhibit is dedicated to showcasing the best two-dimensional abstract paintings from across the USA. Paintings will hang Oct. 6-28.
