There will be daytime restrictions on County Road 144 from Wednesday through Oct. 20.
The restrictions are for a Johnson County Highway Department paving project to be completed on County Road 144 from Whiteland Road to Saddle Club Road in Bargersville. Howard Companies, LLC will be milling and repaving the road in those areas, but the road will remain open, according to a traffic update from the highway department.
The road will be down to one lane in areas where the paving is happening on each day, with flaggers to be in place to direct traffic. The road is expected to be fully open to traffic each evening, county officials said.
Since the road will not be closed, there is no signed detour, but drivers can bypass the work by using Whiteland Road. The weather may impact which days work can be completed and the project’s end date, county officials said.
