For local families looking for something fun and free to do over fall break, the Greenwood Public Library has a hole-in-one idea to keep you entertained. The library has put together a nine-hole course of spooky mini golf, with each hole created in a different Halloween theme. All ages are welcome to play. Come by the second floor Help Desk at the library to pick up a club and ball, and see who can card the best round.

SCARECROW CORNY FESTIVAL AND MARKET MADNESS, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 14, Dollie’s Farm, 4453 N. CR 400 E., Franklin

Fall weekends are fleeting, so take time to spend some time in one of Johnson County’s natural treasures. Dollie’s Farm will host a massive vendor market with a variety of games and activities sprinkled in for the whole family. Try the scavenger hunt corn maze, with $500 hidden inside. Take selfies with the scarecrows, go pumpkin bowling and ride the chicken train, among the many offerings available during the festival. Live music will be going all day long, and guests can enjoy mimosas, mulled wine or beer as well as food from Bus Stop Bistro.
