Criminal Mischief

711 Commerce Drive, Heartland Storage: A woman reported at 9:22 a.m Friday that someone had tried to break into her motor home by drilling holes into the dead bolt and door key port.

Fraud

3000 block of N. Morton St.: A man reported at 3:27 p.m. Saturday that he had been the victim of a phone scam from someone saying they were from Amazon.

1000 block of Crescent St.: A woman reported at 4:51 p.m. Friday that she received a pop-up on her tablet, which advised her that there was a problem with her account. She called the number on the pop-up and was connected to an individual claiming to be from Microsoft, she allowed them to remote into her device and became suspicious when he asked her to add him to her Zelle account and she ended the call.

Hit and Run

178 W. Jefferson St., Shale Creek Brewery: A woman reported at 3:15 p.m. Saturday that a hit and run had occurred.

Property-damage accidents

7:25 a.m. Tuesday – Turning Leaf Drive and Harvest Ridge Circle

2:18 p.m. Monday – N. Forsythe St. and Hamilton Ave.

7:58 a.m. Monday – Bartram Parkway and E. King St.

7:30 a.m. Monday – King St. and near I-65

Thefts

2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: Loss prevention employee reported at 4:12 p.m. Sunday that a man and woman had been caught not scanning items and covering up UPC’s of certain items with a cheaper UPC, totaling over $325. The woman was issued a summons for theft and they were both trespassed from the store.

2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: Loss prevention employee reported at 3:16 p.m. Friday that two women had not scanned 24 items valued over $200, they were stopped by a employee and police called, both the women were issued a summons for theft and issued trespass warnings from the store.

Forgery/Counterfeiting

259 S. Meridian St.: Someone reported at 11:37 a.m. Monday that they had received a counterfeit bill.

Personal-injury accidents

11:45 a.m. Saturday – Averitt Road and Pine Lake Drive. Lori Hartman, 59, Whiteland. Hartman reported having pain and injury to her entire body.

5:40 p.m. Friday – E. Main St. and I-65. Donna Van Doren, 74, Whiteland. Van Doren reported having pain and injury to her chest.

3:16 a.m. Saturday – 2900 block of Hearthside Drive and Heartland Drive

3:02 p.m. Friday – U.S. 31 N. and W. Main St.

12:52 p.m. Friday – Emerson Ave. and E. County Line Road

11:56 a.m. Friday – Smith Valley Road and Yorktown Road

9:23 a.m. Friday – S. State Road 135 and Demaree Road

1350 U.S. 31 S., Speedway: Reported at 4:22 a.m. Tuesday that shoplifting had occurred.

997 E. County Line Road, Ale Emporium: Reported at 10:20 p.m. Monday the theft from a vehicle had occurred.

1133 N. Emerson Ave., Walmart: Reported at 8:14 p.m. Monday that shoplifting had occurred.

100 block of E. County Line Road: Reported at 3:36 p.m. Monday the theft of mail had occurred.

2000 block of Thorium Drive: Reported at 7:22 a.m. Monday that a theft had occurred.

Johnson County

Narcotics

5000 block of U.S. 31 S., Franklin: A man reported at 5:58 p.m. Monday that two people were on his property, a officer located one man walking across the property and after a search of the man the officer found narcotics and a clear glass pipe on him, he was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and wanted on two Johnson County warrants.

Daniel L. Robbins, 44, Columbus; arrested on charges of public intoxication by alcohol, disorderly conduct and interfering with public safety; held on $3,000 bond.

Timothy J. Tingle, 44, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license; released on $1,000 bond.

Austin M. Wheeler, 23, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of probation violation; held without bond.
