New Whiteland and Whiteland area residents can take part in a community clean up day Saturday.
The Community Clean Up Day will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Clark Pleasant Bus Garage, 999 N. Front St., Whiteland. This is a free event for residents to dispose of unwanted items, according to officials.
Accepted items include:
- Yard waste, brush, wood
- General household waste, rubbish and debris
- Office waste
- General construction and demolition debris
- Electronics (*Fees are associated with electronic disposal: TVs are $25 and Freon Appliances are $20)
No liquids, hazardous waste or infectious waste, or tires will be accepted.
The event is sponsored by the towns of New Whiteland and Whiteland, WrightTech, Wessler Engineering and Commonwealth Engineers.
