Local store hosting Farmers Market

Greenwood Tractor Supply store will host a Farmers Market featuring locally-grown, fresh produce, as well as other seasonal products.

The event will be on Nov. 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., shoppers can stop in for and all produced by neighbors in the Greenwood area.

Participating vendors will have tables set up by the storefront where they will showcase their goods.

This event is open to the public. Store is located at 1460 U.S. Highway 31 South.

Morton Family Dental Care to host free Dentistry Day

Residents in the Franklin and surrounding areas will have the opportunity to receive free dental services at Morton Family Dental Care on Nov. 13.

During free Dentistry Day, cleanings, fillings and extractions will be provided to patients, between 8 a.m. and noon at 2179 N. Morton St. Ste. A in Franklin.

Companies nets 167% increase in 2023

The Garrett Companies, a full-service real estate company specializing in multifamily investments, development, construction and asset management, has announced a 167% increase in completed developments in 2023 compared to 2022, alongside several award wins and growth milestones.

The Garrett Companies expanded its portfolio in 2023 with several new initiatives, including the creation of a Strategic Advisory Board to enhance its scaling operations. Its third commercial property, specialty coffee shop Runway 19, opened to serve the Johnson County community. HVAC contractor BlueStar Mechanical launched with a multifamily specialty. The Garrett Companies also helped launch Telis Group, a fund manager for multifamily developers and operators.

In 2023, The Garrett Companies welcomed 100 team members. The company promoted 11 employees to new leadership positions, reflecting the company’s commitment and confidence in the future of the business.

The Franklin Chamber of Commerce is seeking parade participants for the Annual Lighted Holiday Parade taking place at 5:30 p.m. during the 2023 Downtown Holiday Lighting on Dec. 2.
