GREENWOOD
Donald Ray Lasiter, 93, of Greenwood, passed away on October 29 2023. He was born on September 18, 1930 in Johnson Co. IN to the late Harry and Hazel (Parker) Lasiter.
Donald served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from GM after 36 years of dedication. Don loved to travel and was an avid reader.
Donald is survived by his wife, Mary E. (Wheeler) Lasiter; daughters, Patricia Besser, Glenda Johnston and Diane (Bill) Anderson; grandchildren, James (Jaryn) Egner, Anthony Egner, Laura (Howie) Daniels, Lisa Brown, Stacy (Kyle) Riddle and Patrick (Jennifer) Anderson; 14 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; his brother, Harry (Vicky) Lasiter; sister, Doris Rhoades; and sister in law, Helen Lasiter.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, William (Nila) Lasiter, Leroy Lasiter, and Leon (Nancy) Lasiter, son in law, Bob Johnston; and brother in law, Bud Rhoades.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN.
Donald will be laid to rest in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
