Senator Braun hosting ‘Veteran Days’ event at Camp Atterbury Museum

U.S. Sen. Mike Braun, R-Indiana, will hold a military outreach event at the Camp Atterbury Museum on Friday.

A “Veteran Days” event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Camp Atterbury Museum and Welcome Center, 3008 Old Hospital Road, Edinburgh. These events allow veterans, active military and their families opportunities to receive assistance through many services offered by Braun’s office.

These services include but are not limited to federal agency assistance, service academy nominations, assisting constituents in requests for those wishing to have a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol or requests for those planning tours in the U.S. Capitol, White House, Library of Congress, U.S. Supreme Court or the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Attendees are also welcome to come voice their views on matters in Congress, the Federal Government, and Washington D.C., according to Braun’s Office.

Federal, state, local and other organizations that assist the veteran and military community will be in attendance. Among the organizations are the Veteran Benefits Administration, the Indianapolis Vet Center, the Indiana Department of Veteran Affairs, Ivy Tech Community College and the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, according to Braun’s office.

RSVPs to the free event are welcome, but not required.
