Trojans rout No. 5 Tigers

Junior Ava Grant poured in 24 points and Center Grove used a big fourth quarter to finish off a 63-45 home win over Class 4A No. 5 Fishers on Saturday night. Audrey Annee (12 points), Lilly Bischoff (10) and Rachel Wirts (eight) all made contributions down the stretch for the Trojans (2-0), who outscored the Tigers 22-8 in the fourth quarter to ice it.

Grizzly Cubs trample Bull Dogs

Brooklyn York scored 16 of her 28 points in the third quarter — including 11 in a 33-second span — as Franklin pulled away for a 67-36 win at Columbus North. Lauren Klem added 11 points for the Grizzly Cubs (2-0), while Scarlett Kimbrell and Erica Buening scored eight apiece and Kimbrell grabbed 12 rebounds.

Braves roll past Artesians

Ayla Lollar had 17 points, leading four players in double figures, and added six assists and five steals in Indian Creek’s 70-27 trouncing of Martinsville. Faith Wiseman had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Class 3A No. 1 Braves (2-0), who got 13 points from Lauren Foster, 11 from Reese Tunell and 11 rebounds from Lexi Sichting.

Cougars fall to Golden Eagles

Greenwood Christian had a 17-15 halftime lead but wound up running out of gas in a 42-22 home loss to Guerin Catholic. Sydney Waldron led the Cougars (1-2) with 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Faith Kresge added seven points and 10 boards.
